Lyons acknowledges that the growth of Facebook in the United States (U.S.) and the UK have slowed down or even stagnate, but he expects India and Brazil, among other countries, would take a pretty significant growth.

"Both these countries have the prospect of millions of potential users who have not signed up to Facebook," he wrote in a blog.
"With only 3 percent of the population of India on Facebook and 16 percent of Brazil (compared with 49 percent of the U.S. population or 47 per cent of the UK population) countries like this will obviously make a major contribution to the continued growth of Facebook," he added.

For comparison, Twitter now claims about 100 million active users, LinkedIn has 130 + million members and Google has about 49 million total visits in December. These researchers also predict Google + will have 400 million users by the end of this year.
