JAKARTA - Western Digital introduced its My Book Live Duo, personal cloud storage system that combines the benefits of shared storage and remote access to multiple storage backup.

This product is compatible with Mac and PC operating systems, My Book Live Duo is continuously storing a second copy of each of your files to backup data in real-time in mirrored mode (RAID 1). Half of the capacity used for storing user data and the other half is used for a second copy.

If something undesirable happens where one drive is not accessible, the data have been protected because everyone was duplicated on another drive. For automatic backup of Windows users can use WD SmartWare software. While Mac users can take advantage of all features of Apple's Time Machine backup software to protect data.

In spanning mode, with two drive system combines both drives into one large volume that acts as a single drive with a maximum storage capacity, integrated 800 MHz CPU while providing power and performance required for applications demanding the most current.

Ethernet chips are designed using the most advanced technology, My Book Live Duo personal cloud provide a faster read speed and best in class compared to traditional USB 2.0 drives. My Book Live Duo is now available with 4TB and 6TB capacities.
