'Cloud' Future So Sony Entertainment Backbone

LAS VEGAS - At the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2012 in Las Vegas, United States, Sony Entertainment announce his future plans, which centered on one, namely Network.

CEO and Head Consumer Sony Sir Howard Stringer and former PlayStation boss Kaz Hirai said Sony Entertainment Network will serve as the backbone of Sony entertainment devices, ranging from TVs, PlayStation, Tablet up to a smart phone.

Booming cloud, Sony entertainment products will be tightly integrated with each other. Where it allows the consumer to use a single account ID and a 'digital wallet' in all platforms. And PlayStation will play a key role.

"We have influence in all parts of the entertainment revolution. Network becomes important for Sony, which has sold 900 million devices in seluru world," Stringer said, as reported by Gama Sutra, Tuesday (10/01/2012).

Sony will also continue to encourage other entertainment devices, such as tablets and smartphones for more new products are certified PlayStation, including the newly announced Xperia S.
